Clifton Square – Planning Update
Lytham Voice has consistently lobbied for the rule of law to be enforced and at last we are seeing action being taken
.
.
The Deacon:
.
Fylde Borough Council has prosecuted Mr. Turnbull who pleaded guilty at his court appearance on 30 November 2024 to planning breaches in both his own name and his companies name (64 Developments).
.
Significantly, the court heard that the illegal structure is to be removed which Lytham Voice understands may be early in 2025.

.
Olive Tree:
Fylde Borough Council have referred the planning breach at the Olive Tree to Lancashire County Council (LCC).
Lytham Voice have written to LCC to follow up this matter.
In addition, Lytham Voice has written to the St. Annes Land & Building Co., as the building freehold owner, highlighting the precedent from The Deacon prosecution, which included the freehold owner (64 Developments). Lytham Voice has asked the St. Annes Land & Building Co. to take the appropriate action with their tenant.
.
.
It has been reported that the Olive Tree business owner, Mr. Wilson has recently been prosecuted and convicted of fraud relating to COVID bounce back loans associated with his Olive Tree businesses.
