Lytham Institute (The Old Lytham Library) – Update
The trustees of Lytham Library are making progress. In addition to resolving a number of practical and regulatory matters they are focussed on making the Institute more accessible and welcoming and establishing communication with residents and local groups. Creating partnerships with current users of the building and Fylde Council are priorities, as is creating a social media presence to facilitate community engagement.
The Institute will be open to the general public on 13 September 2025 as part of the National Heritage Open Day initiative. Please do visit the Institute and share your thoughts and ideas on the future of this important community asset with the trustees.
The Institute Charity is looking to recruit volunteers to help bring the building back to life, along with an additional trustee to lead on fundraising and a Secretary to the Board of trustees.
