Please note the following proposed change in traffic regulations.
Although substantially associated with St. Annes they do cover Fairlawn Road and Seafield Road Lytham .
Residents of Lytham may wish to consider the resulting impact on Lytham of additional parking restrictions for motorhomes being imposed in St. Annes.
If you feel strongly about these proposals please advise family and friends and in turn to ask them to inform their family and friends to ensure Lytham Voice is heard

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, LYTHAM ST ANNES, FYLDE BOROUGH) (MOTOR CARAVAN RESTRICTED WAITING, BUS ONLY LIMITED WAITING AND VARIOUS PARKING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 202*
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council propose to make the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to make traffic management alterations in this general locality.
A copy of the draft Order and associated documents for proposing to make the Order may be inspected:

The purpose of this proposed Order is to introduce measures to prevent anti-social overnight parking by Motor Caravans by introducing a No Motor Caravan restriction from 6pm – 8am whilst still providing car parking for residents and visitors to the area.
To encourage visitors to the area the Order further makes the following provisions:
- The introduction of a dedicated Bus drop off/pick-up bays to accommodate visiting coach parking.
- The change from 18-hour to 4-hour Limited Waiting on Inner Promenade along with an extension to the current 2 Hour Limited Waiting on South Promenade to ensure a turnover of available on-street parking options.
- The introduction of a prohibition of Loading on St Annes Road West to remove the potential to park at all times thereby removing congestion and improving traffic flows on this section of carriageway leading from the promenade into St Anne’s main shopping area.The Order further tidies up a number of traffic orders that have been identified in the area to allow for effective enforcement.
Reasons under Sect 1 RTRA 1984
a) for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising, or
c) for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians), or
f) for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
